Our story

From the very first observation of intonation to a working algorithm — 20 years of research turned into the Pravdalist.ai platform.

Words are easy to control. Voice physiology is impossible.

Every day we make decisions, trusting someone else's words: we hire people, buy real estate, build relationships and conclude contracts. But how do you know where the sincerity is and where the skillful manipulation is?

From the TV story to the standard Voice Risk Intelligence: Or how the computer was taught to hear lies, the history of the creation of the Pravdalist.ai platform.

This story is about mathematics, psychology and 20 years of research and training, which today protect decisions for millions.

2003. Evening news release.

The founder of the project watched the evening news on TV, in the next story. A high-ranking official spoke confidently about investments and welfare growth in six months. The words were correct. A common populist statement by a politician that could be easily tested by time.

But his voice didn't match what was being said

At this point, the Founder heard more than just a speech. He heard the physiology. The speaker's vocal apparatus lived a life separate from his words. The meaning of what was said was one thing, and the acoustics signaled another. This politician did not believe in what he said, and was not going to do it. It remains to wait for the appointed time and find out the truth. As expected, after six months, none of the promised things happened.

It turned out that the lie can be heard through intonation. But why did he hear it?

By that time, the Founder had a rare, almost unique combination of knowledge and experience in such disciplines as computer programming in the field of digital signal processing and sound compression, artificial intelligence and neural networks, the physiology of the human senses, their interaction with the brain, practical psychology and psycholinguistics, but there was another factor — a kind of "zero point". For a couple of years, the Founder was friendly with a pathological liar. And during this period, without realizing it, he underwent a specific hearing training. Long-term observation of repetitive behavioral and acoustic patterns formed the ability to notice speech anomalies and isolate the very acoustic markers that indicate deception from the flow of speech.

The synthesis — of mathematics, psychology and live communication experience — worked in an instant. A hypothesis has emerged. If the human brain can learn this, can we describe this process mathematically and train the computer to do the same, to hear lies?

It took two decades of data collection and architectural preparation. The technologies of the beginning of the 2000s were not ready for this task. There were no deep neural networks or high-performance computing clusters capable of processing such data arrays. During this time, the Founder continuously expanded engineering expertise, collected an array of data on cognitive distortions and formed the mathematical logic of the future system. It was a time of waiting for the moment when the computing power and the necessary technologies would catch up with the theoretical base.

The birth of Pravdalist.ai: Architecture of truth

By 2023, that moment had arrived. The following three years of several hundred experiments, discoveries, testing algorithms and writing code made it possible to bring the concept to life.

This is how the Pravdalist.ai platform appeared. This is not a spontaneous startup, but the result of two decades of evolution. The founder created a technology that combined the rigorous mathematics of digital signal processing, cognitive psychology and new advanced artificial intelligence technologies to identify patterns hidden in oral speech.

New Trust Infrastructure

Every day, corporations and individuals make critical decisions based on the words of others. But if words are easily amenable to conscious control, then the physiology of sound is not.

The Pravdalist.ai platform was created in order to implement the Voice Risk Intelligence standard in everyday practice. The tool, conceived more than twenty years ago, has now become an objective computing reality. It is a technology that supports decision making based on mathematical analysis rather than blind trust.

Protect your decisions

You don't need to be an expert profiler to stop being a victim of deception. Upload an audio recording of a conversation with a contractor, seller or partner — and the system will show whether these words can be trusted.

The Voice Risk Intelligence standard is now available in one click. Choose the truth.
